2020: Spring-Volunteer Day

CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19.

2021 : May 29, Spring/Summer Volunteer Day. Two loads of fines were spread on the trail from Trout Brook bridge to the Tramway site.

Volunteers:  A heart filled THANK YOU goes out to the 29 volunteers that showed up to help with the trail improvements. Specifically they are; Committee members, Clarence & Karen Moss, Guy & Nancy Reid, Carl and Mireya Reid, and Cliff & Irene Reid; persons from the Community, Dave & Minnie Reid, Bibbs & Lorna Curtis, Carl & Roxanne Rumbolt, Jim & Golda Byrne, Gerry & Hilda Rumbolt, Terry & Christa Brake, Chad Reid, Earl Reid, Andrew Elms, Nancy and son, Ethan Anstey, Connie Reid, Reg Normore, Rose Rumbolt, and Lisa Pearce. In addition, special thanks go out to Helen Reid and Kristen Roks for donating treats, and to Mr. Goulding and Mr. Williams for allowing us to cross their properties to get to the trail. Great work completed and fantastic camaraderie. Thanks everyone.

2021-2022: Fall/Winter CEEP Project.Cleanup of hillside in Day Park, clearing low shrubs around birch trees. Install 4 drainage pipes in Trout Brook Loop. Construct a boardwalk for Trout Brook Bridge area to be placed along flood plane to higher ground (~120ft.) Constructed in old Firehall.

Spring 2022: Volunteer Days

This Spring has been a real challenge with water Levels. The Main Dam gates were opened on two occasions causing much flooding along the trail near Trout Brook. On two occasions Committee members had to retrieve and secure a couple of the bridges. One positive thing though; Guy Reid, Carl Reid and Cliff Reid spent a couple days expanding and rebuilding the Day Park Parking lot.

2022-2023: Fall/Winter CEEP Project. Trail maintenance. Cleaned up the young tree growth facing the Reidville Road to provide better visibility. Repaired railing on several bridges along the Trout Brook section of the trail. Planned work for the Boardwalk was not possible because of Snow conditions.

2023: Fall Volunteer days & CEEP Project.On May 21, 2023, Guy, Clarence, Dave and Carl raised the Trout Brook Bridge. On October 9, 2023, eleven (11) volunteers turned up to construct cribbing and install the boardwalk sections constructed in Fall/Winter 2021/2022. On Oct 16, 2023 Earl Reid, and volunteers assisted, construction of the Railing for the Boardwalk.

2024: Volunteer Committee members and Town Staff: There were no new developments completed on the trail this year. The Committee Chair, Clarence Moss and volunteer members, Terry Brake, Cliff Reid and Guy Reid completed minor repairs as they arose. The students that were hired for the summer work program maintained the trail under the supervision of the town's part-time employee, Dylmer Decker.
