A group of volunteers gathered to lay fines along the Humber River from Mill Beach to the treeline on Virgin Valley Sod Farm belonging to Eric Reid.
Carl Reid donated the use of his excavator and Guy Reid operated it to do some preliminary roughing before the volunteers arrived.
We had two crews laying forms and spreading stone. They began on opposite ends and worked toward each other. Carl Reid used his Skid Steer to deliver the fines to each crew.
Cliff Reid helped Irene Reid and Laura Normore setup tables and delivered chairs for lunch time.
Dave Reid and I, Cliff Reid, had to cut extra rebar for the forms.
Finally - lunch is served. Choice of Moose or Pea soup, variety of sandwiches, unlimited supply of sweats, Tim Coffee and bottled water. Everyone was ready for this and everyone ate to their own delight.
Back to work for the afternoon. Just a little more to go.
At the end of the day it was time to relax with a few refreshments.
A short distance from this section Carl Reid placed the first Memorial Bench on the Trail.
