The Town is grateful to Mr. Lloyd Jones, Mr. Eric Reid and Mr. Edward Goulding for giving permission to cross private property along some of this route. Access is permitted to walkers / runners only, and so ATV's and other motorized vehicles are NOT permitted to access this trail.

We have attempted to create a walking/running only trail for its entirety. The old original horse trail still exist along the Humber River and the walking trail runs parallel with it. Bikers and ATV users are asked to continue to use the old trail and leave the newly developed walking trail to the walkers / runners.

Whyat Goosney and Dave Reid do not appear in this slide show. Whyat took the pictures and we didn't get any of him. Dave was not on the initial trip but on the second trip slight moderation was made in the ribboning. We didn't get any pictures.

Karen Finds Tramway Bucket

During this first year Karen Moss of Reidville and Brian Laing from Deer Lake rough cut and burned the brush for the first section from Reidville Main Road to Trout Brook and along the River to the Tramway location. In this picture Karen has uncovered a Dump Bucket that was left at the original landing site since the 1930's.

This bucket was mounted on a set of wheels and used to transport gravel along the railway during construction and for maintenance of the rail bed. It was designed to dump to the side.
